Girls at Nehemiah Orphanage

Bright and early (7:15) on Monday morning, me Melissa and Whitney went to help at Nehemiah orphanage. On Friday we had helped with their outreach feeding program to kids living in squatter areas. Then they asked us if we would help at the orphanage school on Monday morning because all the teachers have a staff meeting on Monday. So without any idea of what we would be doing we came up with some things to keep them busy for 4 hours.

We made picture frames and took pictures of us with them so they could put it in their frame. This boy, John, made us bracelets.

Playing Duck Duck Goose

There were 27 kids from Grades 1-5 but of all different ages. Anywhere between 8 and 15. They all loved the camera and posed for a million pictures!! One funny thing was that when we were playing Duck Duck Goose they would sometimes switch and say the words in Cebuano and then when they put their hand on my head I wouldn't know I was the goose until it was too late. Sneaky eh?
Anyways...we had a lot of fun and now we'll be going back every Monday morning. It's great!!
