This weekend Jeremy turned 13! So we travelled about 100 km. out of the city (it took nearly 3 hrs. to get there) to some beautiful waterfalls on the otherside of Cebu Island. It was great to get out of the city and into the province (countryside). Here are some of the pictures.
The amazing ocean - beautiful and warm!
In order to get under the falls you ride on one of these bamboo rafts and the guides pull you by ropes in under the falls. This fresh water pool was nice and cool and refreshing. We enjoyed swimming in it. Bevan figured it was a great massage laying under the falls and letting it pound on his back. 
We had a filipino lunch (lots of rice, chop suey, sweet/sour pork, interesting meatballs and pork fat (big chunks of slightly cooked bacon). The group beside us had this smorg.
